Volunteering for the Rules Advisory Committee
The Board of Clinical Social Workers is looking for applications from volunteers to fill future vacancies on a Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) to make recommendations to the Board on rules to be developed during the next 18 months.  RAC meetings tend to be scheduled on Saturday mornings to increase ability of working professionals to participate.  Volunteering does not necessarily mean automatic membership as the Board needs to ensure  a diverse set of views  as well as retaining a group of manageable size.  Topics for rulemaking will vary, and will include but not be limited to establishing requirements for new 2011 licensure programs authorized by Senate Bill 177, changes in mandatory reporting to implement HB 2059, and implementation of HB 2345 transferring the Board’s Impairment program to the Department of Human Services.

If you are interested,  please respond to oregon.bcsw@state.or.us with your full contact information, a brief bio, and identification of specific topical area of interest, if applicable.

Thank you in advance for your consideration
