In January and July of each year, the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) publishes the prevailing wage rates (PWR) that are required to be paid to workers on non-residential public works projects in the state of Oregon. Quarterly updates are published in April and October.
A separate publication, entitled Definitions of Covered Occupations for Public Works Contracts in Oregon, provides occupational definitions used to classify the duties performed on public works projects. This publication is updated whenever revisions to the definitions are made.
PWR publications are available electronically at www.oregon.gov/boli/WHD/PWR/Pages/pwr_state.aspx or by clicking on the link below.
Notifications regarding proposed PWR rule revisions and wage rate amendments are posted electronically on this website. Interested parties who wish to be on a mailing list to receive notices of rule and rate revisions by email or postcard may email the recipient’s name, company name, mailing address, email address, and phone number to BOLI at email@example.com or call 971-673-0838.
One complimentary hard copy of each of these publications is available upon request by emailing BOLI at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 971-673-0838. (Please specify which publications(s) you wish to have provided to you.) Additional copies are available at cost, plus postage.
ORS 279C.838(1) requires state prevailing wage rates to be paid on projects subject to both the state prevailing wage rate law and the federal Davis-Bacon Act if the state prevailing rate of wage is higher than the federal prevailing rate of wage. Federal rates may be obtained through www.wdol.gov
BOLI staff is available at email@example.com or 971-673-0839, to assist public agencies and contractors in determining the applicable wage rates.
