Using a federal grant, the Oregon Broadband Mapping Project collects and reports broadband Internet provider service areas for facilities-based providers in Oregon, and it provides data support resources for planning future investment for extending and improving broadband Internet services for Oregonians.
The Oregon Broadband Project Team (Team) consists of members of the following organizations that contributed to the development and implementation of the Project, collection of the data and creation of the interactive mapping website.
- Oregon Public Utility Commission
- Oregon Department of Administrative Services
- Oregon Business Development Department
The team is supported by many other organizations including the Oregon Department of Justice and multiple divisions within the Oregon Department of Administrative Services, as well as staff at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
Broadband Internet Service Providers in Oregon, through their bi-annual data submissions, have significantly contributed to the Oregon Broadband Mapping Project and its usefulness to Oregonians, businesses and the communities of Oregon.
The Oregon Broadband Mapping Project is a work in progress with more elements and functions to be added in the future. Your feedback and comments are welcome and encouraged. Feedback and comments may be provided through the Feedback Tool located on the Main Title Bar within the Interactive Map. Feedback in important as it informs the Mapping Team and map users about the integrity of the data being displayed.
Please use the Speed Test function on the Interactive Map. Your use of this tool also generates important data for the Team in its validation and verification processes.
We hope you find the website useful and visit often.
