Who Are We?
The CCB is a state agency created in 1971 to regulate construction activities in Oregon. The agency is governed by a nine-member board appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the State Senate.

What Do We Do?
The purpose of the CCB is to protect consumers by regulating contractors. Our vision is a fair, honest, and competitive construction industry providing improvements to real property in a manner that ensures consumer rights. Major functions include licensing contractors; investigating and resolving construction related disputes; investigating possible law violations; imposing sanctions against unlawful contractors and educating consumers and contractors on their rights and responsibilities.
