Drug Crimes In Oregon
Graphs and Tables of Statistics

This page is designed to answer basic questions about controlled substance ("drugs") crime rates and trends in Oregon.

Local law enforcement agencies report complaints and arrests for crimes in Oregon to the Law Enforcement Data System of the Oregon State Police. Summaries of these reports are published annually. For drug-related crimes, information is reported on the type of drug involved. In each section below, a query is constructed to generate a chart or table from this data. Oregon laws governing the possession, use, and distribution of controlled substances may be found at ORS Chapter 475. Controlled substances are grouped into "schedules" which are administered by the federal government. For more information on the schedules, click here.

Data displayed in tables may be selected, copied, and pasted to a spreadsheet or other file on the user's computer for further analysis.

What are the Offense and Arrest Statistics for specific drug types? Use this query to generate a line graph or table of reported offenses or arrests by Oregon county or statewide. Also shown are the corresponding rates as the number of reports per 10,000 population.

For county data: the statewide rate is presented in the tables and on the graphs as a green line for purposes of comparison.
