The goal of the CJC LPSCC Coordinating Committee is to make recommendations to the Criminal Justice Commission to improve Oregon’s public safety/criminal justice system.
- The LPSCC Committee will begin it’s work by reviewing the status of all recommendations made by the Governor’s Methamphetamine, Adult Sentencing, Criminal Justice Systems and Elder Abuse Task Forces and the recommendations coming out of the Governor’s Juvenile Justice Summit and determining which proposals still need to be pursued.
- The LPSCC Committee will then look at the public safety/criminal justice system from a state-wide, regional and local level to look for issues that still need to be addressed.
- The LPSCC Committee will also look at how resources should be best allocated to improve public safety in the state.
