ORBITS project
The first release of the ORegon Budget Information Tracking System (ORBITS) was implemented in late February 2002.  ORBITS replaced Budget and Management (BAM) Division's 20 year-old mainframe based Automated Budget Information System (ABIS).  The Statewide Audit and Reporting Section (SABR) of BAM is responsible for administering the production system.  State agencies, Budget and Management Division, and the Legislative Fiscal Office use the ORBITS to develop the 2003-05 budget.
