Management Development Series

Overview

The Management Development Series (MDS) has been a long-standing, skill-based statewide program offering a variety of management/supervisor classroom courses to all Oregon state agencies, boards, commissions and local governments. Plans are in place to re-deploy the management development programs. MDS will be comprised of 4 programs:
1.  Developmental is for aspiring managers
2.  Foundational is for new managers (up to 3 years as a manager)
3.  Mid-Level is for experienced managers
4.  New to State is for experienced managers but new to state government
 
The first program to be re-deployed is the Foundational training program.

Target Audience:
  • Managers with up to 3 years in a management position.
  • Current managers needing a refresher course in fundamental management skills.

Registration

The first cohort is in Salem starting on August 13, 2014 and ends on October 15, 2014.
