Abstract:
The Oregon Senate Districts theme was created by merging blocks from the census 2000 redistricting blocks theme using the Autobound Redistricting extension. The polygons formed by the merged blocks represent the boundaries of the Oregon House districts. Two house districts were than merged to create each Senate District.
Purpose: To delineate Oregon House Districts.

The US Census Bureau tiger data was merged with the Census PL94-171 redistricting data to create the base data set for Oregon Redistricting. Digital Engineering Corp. Autobound redistricting software was used to assing blocks, tracts and counties to different House Districts. Once the House Districts were complete two of them were assigned to a Senate District.
