DAS Fleet operates under the authority of ORS 283.310-.395.
"DAS shall control and regulate the acquisition, operation, use, maintenance and disposal of and access to motor vehicles used for state business by state agencies." 

Statewide Fleet Administration - Located in Salem
Centralized vehicle purchasing, billing, fuel management, and data collection.
Coordinating remote vehicle maintenance through Fleet call-center.
Assigning and cross-leveling vehicles to maximize utilization.

Motor Pool Location
The motor pool is located in Salem.
Services include daily rentals, fuel, and maintenance/repair.

Rental Rates
All rental rates include depreciation and overhead as a fixed charge.
Short-term rental rates include the cost of maintenance/repair; long-term (more than 30 days) vehicle rates do not. For long-term vehicles, these charges are billed back as incurred.
Fuel costs are billed back to the customer for both short-term and long-term vehicles.

Fuel Management
In addition to the State Motor Pool, DAS Fleet manages over 40 remote fueling locations statewide, including State Parks and Correctional Institutions.

Customer Base
DAS Fleet serves approximately 80 state agency and 70 local government customers.

Preventative Maintenance
All DAS Fleet vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and are assigned a specific preventative maintenance schedule based on use.
