Future Construction Contracts
Construction of Wetlands
In Fall 2008 DAS will issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in a process to identify qualified contractors for the construction of wetlands at Mill Creek Corporate Center. The RFQ will establish a list of eligible wetland contractors who will be qualified to submit proposals under the Request for Proposals (RFP).  The successful proposal will result in an opportunity for the contractor to negotiate a long-term contract to construct the first phase of the Mill Creek Corporate Center wetlands of approximately 40 to 50 acres beginning in 2009.
 
Interested parties should watch this site and the State of Oregon's official procurement site ORPIN (http://orpin.oregon.gov/open.dll/welcome ) for further announcement of the RFQ solicitation.

FedEx Facility at Mill Creek Corporate Center
Jones Salem LLC, a Kansas City developer, is constructing the first building at Mill Creek Corporate Center.  Jones expects to complete the 50,000 sq. ft., state of the art project by mid-August for its tenant, FedEx Ground.  FedEx will occupy the facility in September, 2008.

Animal Waste Pond Demolition Contract

The Oregon Department of Administrative Services has concluded a competitive process and selected a contractor for the demolition of the animal waste pond in the southern end of the Mill Creek Corporate Center.
 
Fred Acklin Trucking Company of Klamath Falls has been selected as the demolition contractor and will begin the work in September 2008. Work is expected to be completed in October 2008. All material will be disposed of in accordance with DEQ and Oregon Department of Agriculture requirements.
