| Second Phase of State Hospital Replacement Project begins |
|
The Salem Oregon State Hospital continues to open in phases and completed the first phase at the end of 2011. The second phase includes an interagency agreement between the Department of Administrative Services and DHS-OHA for the management of the north campus, with maintenance responsibility beginning in July 2012. The North Campus is the 47 acres located at 2600 Center Street, Salem, Oregon. The campus is bounded by Center Street, Park Avenue, D Street, and 23rd Street. The property includes six major buildings and the entire property is part of the Oregon State Hospital National Historic District. The Campus Proposed Vision Strategy and Development Analysis is now complete and is posted below under Publications, Reports amd Fact Sheets.

Neighborhood Associations
DAS is already working with the State Historic Presevation Office and the Salem Historic Landmarks Commission and gearing up to begin attending the neighborhood association meetings. Stakeholders are invited to participate in the planning process. As future North Campus Project Stakeholder Meetings are organized, they will be announced on this site.
