| Purpose |

Several statewide information security policies require sensitive or confidential information be adequately protected at rest and in transit. Encryption is a tool that can be used to protect information in a variety of ways. An information forum was held on May 20, 2008 to talk about encryption and to hear from several agencies about how they are deploying encryption techniques.
