About Us

The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is involved with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) on two levels: internally, the agency has identified managing risk as a core process and value, and externally, the agency is invested in leading and supporting an enterprise approach to ERM through various statewide advisory councils and committees.
As an agency, DAS is currently mapping processes and sub-processes to integrate the principles of ERM into daily business operations (see link below). The agency manages risk every day; with a robust and developed ERM model, DAS management will be able to consciously identify and assess risk, document and analyze findings, select a strategy and integrate risk information into making more informed business decisions.
At an enterprise level, DAS is engaged with statewide committees such as the Statewide Audit Advisory Council, the Risk Management Advisory Council, and the Information Security Council to develop tools for agencies to use to analyze risk. This enterprise approach will provide a platform for success through a shared understanding of ERM and its benefits.
