| Security Services - SSL Certificates |
| Description |
The use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) provides greater security for customer data by encrypting data between a web server and a web client. SSL relies on trusted certification authorities to establish that a domain name has been registered to and is managed by the organizational entity that is offering an encrypted web connection. SSL certificates are issued with a specific expiration data and require renewal prior to expiration. Without a valid SSL Certificate, the end user will be prompted with a security warning regarding the SSL encrypted website.
