| Introduction |
|
The new State Data Center (SDC) Service Catalog is ready for your review and comments. The Service Catalog is divided in to a series of Term Sheets, which define each service that the SDC provides. They are called Term Sheets because in the data center industry, Term Sheets are used to describe the terms and conditions which specify responsibilities between contracting parties. Each Term Sheet defines the specific service and delineates between the SDC and customer responsibilities for each service. In essence, term sheets define the “what” with regards to the scope of services for the SDC. They intentionally do not define “how” services will be provided. The “how” would be process, timeline to implement, processes for deployment, etc.

The Term Sheets attached have been drafted using technical resources. They are now ready for a customer review to provide feedback on the assignment of responsibilities and comments on any clarifications needed to make the Term Sheets easier for all parties to understand. To help focus the review of “what,” specific ervice levels have been removed so that division of responsibilities can be finalized. Once responsibility is finalized, service levels will be added for the services that the SDC will be responsible for. Since these responsibilities determine the scope of the SDC, the comments should only clarify scope, not redefine it. Any recommendations that cause a change in scope will need to be approved by the SDC governing body.
