DAS Fleet operates under the authority of ORS 283.310-.395.
 
"DAS shall control and regulate the acquisition, operation, use, maintenance and disposal of and access to motor vehicles used for state business by state agencies."

Motor Pool Locations
The three Motor Pools are located in Salem, Portland, and Eugene.
 
Services include daily rentals, fuel, and maintenance/repair.

Unleaded gasoline - available at Salem and Portland Motor Pool
 
Ethanol (E-85) - available at Salem and Portland Motor Pool
 
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) - available at Salem, Portland, and Eugene Motor Pool
 
Bio-diesel (B20) - available at Salem Motor Pool

Miles Traveled
DAS Fleet vehicles traveled 80,105,569 miles during the 05-07 biennium.

Rental Rates
All rental rates include depreciation and overhead as a fixed charge.
 
Daily rental rates include the cost of maintenance/repair; long-term (more than 30 days) vehicle rates do not.
 
Fuel costs are billed back to the customer for both daily and long-term vehicles.

Fuel Management
In addition to the three Motor Pools, DAS Fleet manages over 40 remote fueling locations statewide, including State Parks and Correctional Institutions.

Customer Base
DAS Fleet serves over 300 customer agencies comprised of state and local government entities, including 15 law enforcement agencies.

Preventative Maintenance
All DAS Fleet vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and are assigned a specific preventative maintenance schedule based on use.
