10% Illinois Coal
|
- In the case of a tie bid between an Illinois vendor and a out-of-state vendor, the Illinois vendor shall be given preference over the out-of -state vendor.
- When a contract is awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, a resident Illinois bidder shall be allowed a preference as against a non-resident bidder from any state that gives or requires a preference to bidders from that state. The preference shall be equal to the preference given or required by the state of the non-resident bidder (Reciprocity).
- Preference is given to "Illinois Correctional Industries" and "Illinois Sheltered Workshops for the severely handicapped" for certain designated contracts.
- Preference is given to "Illinois Small Businesses" participating in the Small Business Set-aside Program.
Additionally, a 10% preference is given for use of Illinois coal. And there is a preference for products made with steel produced in the United States.
