*Liberty Northwest Insurance Corp.:
Direct writer. In Portland, call (503) 239-5800, or toll-free (800) 275-5600, or a local Liberty NW office. Prefers premiums of $2,500 and above. Offers specialized programs for the hospitality and construction industries.
 
Oregon WC Insurance Plan - (Assigned Risk Pool):
Direct or agent. Call (800) 622-4123. Highest average rates. Allows 25 percent estimated annual premium down, and surety bond for remainder. Contact (CBIC) Contractors Bonding Insurance Company, (800) 926-2242. Ask for Tom Dyment for the name of an agent, to write the bond. Bond costs vary depending on amount. (25% must be at least equal to minimum premium for business´s class.) They will take your application over the phone if you request them to.
 
*Republic Insurance:
Writes exclusively through independent agents. Minimum premiums rage from $1,000 up to $3,500. Market for restaurants, all types of retailers, wholesalers, light manufacturing, professional services, and auto repair businesses.
