2012 legislative summary

In 2012, the Oregon Legislative Assembly also focused on health care reform. Two important bills relating to the implementation of Oregon reforms, Senate Bill 1580 allowing the Oregon Health Authority to proceed with establishing coordinated care organizations, and House Bill 4164, accepting and approving the proposed business plan for the Oregon Health Insurance Exchange Corporation, dominated the session. The Insurance Division also participated in discussions on bills to fine tune earlier reform legislation and to allow the establishment of captive insurers in Oregon.​​
