The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) is a progressive business regulatory state agency dedicated to the mission of protecting consumers and workers in the State of Oregon. The Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) provides timely and impartial resolution of disputes arising under the Workers' Compensation Law and Oregon Safe Employment Act.
We are looking for an individual who understands the complexity of this working environment while dedicated to the consumers we support. If you have the skills we need, we can promise you an exciting career opportunity in public service.
The successful candidate will accurately data enter information on the WCB database to create new Claim Disposition Agreement (CDA) files. The information in these files will become vital to the CDA Coordinator in the timely processing of CDAs. This person works as part of the Administrative Services Division to ensure processing standards and deadlines are met. Cross-trains to cover absences and perform a variety of back-up duties in the section. Monitors the caseload of deferred cases and odd sized exhibits.

The successful candidate will at a minimum have:
- completed courses or training in Office Technology; OR
- one year of general clerical experience which included typing, word processing, or other generation of documents.

- Demonstrated follow through on promises/commitments.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
- NOTE: Employment will be contingent upon the passing of a fingerprint-based criminal background check. Conviction of a crime will not automatically disqualify an individual from being considered for employment.
- Uses a computer terminal approximately 5 - 6 hours per day.
- May require lifting boxes of files weighing up to 30 pounds.
