Building codes
Boilers & Pressure Vessels Program

Electrical Program
Provides the following services for businesses: reviews electrical plans, provides prompt inspection service, gives code information, answers licensing concerns, and provides telephone numbers of local jurisdictions. Licensing section (503) 378-4133; e-mail: bcd.license@state.or.us.
 
Elevator and Amusement Ride Safety Program

Manufactured Dwellings
The manufactured home consumer assistance program provides services for the manufactured home industry, including consumers, retailers, licensed installers, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers. Mechanical, Structural, and 1&2 Family Dwelling Program
Our services focus on achieving consistent administration of the statewide codes by doing the following:
  • Providing technical advice on building-code issues
  • Educating code users through training and forum/roundtable discussions
  • Resolving conflicts between code users and jurisdictions in the most expedient manner
  • Preparing and publishing technical advisories, interpretations, and state rulings
  • Processing appeals
  • Adopting nationally recognized codes with limited Oregon amendments (503) 378-4533
  • In State jurisdictions, conducts inspections, plan review and provides consultation services.

Plumbing Program
Develops Oregon's plumbing codes and creates administrative rules defining the installation of plumbing. Assists the State Plumbing Board with the issuance of journeyman plumber licenses and plumbing business registrations under Oregon Revised Statutes, Chapters 693 and 447. The program also helps determine violations of the plumbing codes and laws and presents findings to the State Plumbing Board. In State jurisdictions, conducts inspections and plan review. RV & Parks
Provides customer service inspections on recreational vehicles at no charge. Provides plan review, in-plant quality control inspections, and dealer lot inspections. Develops consistent code interpretation and information for the RV industry. (503) 373-7542; e-mail: bcd.sws@state.or.us.
