Statewide exercise to test emergency preparedness
What: The distribution of mock medical supplies to Oregonians to test preparedness for any exposure to a deadly disease. The process is the focus of a statewide public health emergency exercise set for next week.

Where: Tualatin Hills Athletic Center, NW 158th and SW Walker Road in Beaverton
When: 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2
Details: From Nov. 1 through Nov. 3, public health officials across Oregon will practice their response to a potentially massive disease outbreak. The task at hand is to rapidly deploy the federal Strategic National Stockpile of life-saving medications into communities to be administered to local residents.
On Wed., Nov. 2, the governor and public health officials will deliver remarks at the Washington County mass-dispensing site, specifically set up for the exercise.
Following formal remarks, the media can observe part of the exercise and talk with public health officials.
