In DHS we recognize that many families experience domestic violence and it is a contributing factor to the need for a number of publicly and privately financed social services. This Web site offers a variety of information, tools and other resources on the topic of domestic violence. DHS provides domestic violence ​services under the authority of ORS 411.117.

Domestic Violence Council

The Domestic Violence Council advises the Director of DHS on issues of domestic violence. The Council is committed to enhancing safety for victims/survivors of domestic violence in the way DHS services are delivered and to developing systems that ensure coordinated community response to prevent violence. Learn more... 

Domestic and Sexual Violence Program

DHS Children, Adults and Families (CAF) contracts with community-based domestic violence and sexual assault programs for services to adult victims and their children. Services include 24 hour crisis lines, 24 hour crisis response, emergency shelter, safety planning, peer support, information and referral and advocacy. Learn more... 

Temporary Assistance for Domestic Violence Survivors

This program provides temporary financial help to support families whose safety is at risk due to domestic violence.
