Business Process Architecture (BPA)
About Business Process Architecture

Process Center of Excellence (PCoE) is an emerging field of knowledge and research between management and information technology encompassing Project Management (PMO), Business Change Management (BCM) and Business Process Engineering (BPE) methodologies.  PCoE covers activities performed by organizations to manage and, if necessary, improve their business processes thru Business Process Architecture (BPA) and Business Transition Management (BTM).  PCoE is a management model that allows the organization to manage their processes as any other assets and improve and manage them in an ever changing environment.

BPA is an emerging methodology within DHS' Office of Information Services (OIS) PCoE.  BPA serves as the interface between the needs of the business as reflected in its work and the IT solutions that facilitate that business.
