These documents are step-by-step instructions intended to aid Business Transition resources through Business Transition activities associated with projects. While projects are developed and implemented using the PMBOK project processes, this guide is designed to be used with the Business Transition Management Integrated Framework. The Business Transition Management Integrated Framework is based on the PMBOK processes with the Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Closing processes but with two additional processes. These additions, Pre-Initiating and Operations and Maintenance, are necessary because Business Transition activities associated with projects span before a project starts and after a project completes.
