IEEE Software Engineering Standards Committee
This organization is the Software Engineering Standards Committee, also known
as the "SESC". It is constituent part of the IEEE Computer Society
and operates under the by laws and policies of that society. The IEEE Computer
Society ("IEEE-CS") is a constituent society of the Institute of Electrical
and Electronic Engineers ("IEEE"). The purpose of the SESC is to codify
the norms of professional software engineering practices into standards, promote
use of software engineering standards among clients, practitioners, and educators,
and harmonize national and international software engineering standards development.

A Rapid Applications Development approach with lots of momentum in Europe and
growing in the United States. The Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM)
Consortium is a non-profit organization dedicated to defining, promoting and
continuously evolving its de-facto worldwide standard for developing business
solutions within tight timeframes. DSDM provides a non-proprietary approach
for ensuring that solutions incrementally meet the needs of the business. DSDM
incorporates timeboxing, frequent deliverables, prototyping and collaborative
design and development.
