    This initiative is dedicated to safely and equitably reducing the number of children in foster care and improving the lives of the children who remain in our care.

    Statewide goals 

    • Safely reduce the number of children in foster care.
    • Increase relative foster care placements.
    • Reduce the number of children entering care.
    • Increase foster care exits.
    • Reduce the disproportionally high representation of Native and African Americans in foster care.
    • Reduce the child abuse and neglect recurrence rate.
