Student Child Care Program

Student families may be eligible for financial help to pay for child care costs while they attend college. To apply for this program, student parents must be on the waiting list. Students must fill out a waiting list information form and submit it online to the Student Child Care Grant.

Effective October 1, 2007, the Student Child Care Program was transferred from the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS) to the Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC) and is now the Student Child Care Grant.

Under a joint agreement between DHS and OSAC, DHS will continue to administer the program during the period of October 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007. During this transition, no new students will be added to the current program.

Current recipients of the program through DHS, or those who have been on the DHS waiting list, must complete the Student Child Care Grant fill-in form on the OSAC website.

Students who are currently getting help with their child care through the DHS Student Child Care Program and students who are on the DHS waiting list will have priority when they apply for the grant. Other interested students may also apply.

Funds are limited and not all those who apply may receive the grant.
