Job Rotation
There is one job rotation opportunity with Children, Adults and Families/Office of Self-Sufficiency Programs which is part of the Department of Human Services located in SALEM.
You must be a current DHS employee (this includes regular status, trial service and limited duration employees) to apply for this position.

Professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work related to a self-sufficiency program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The TANF Unit, under the leadership of Xochitl Esparza, is looking for a person to work as an Operations and Policy Analyst 3. This position will have an opportunity to work in a number of challenging program areas including TANF, JOBS contracts, Domestic Violence, Post TANF, and other TANF related programs and projects. The work performed by this position will be critical as we redesign program services and benefits related to rising caseloads and declining resources. A strong orientation to and an understanding of developing and providing services for diverse populations is an important aspect of this opportunity.
The focus of the Operations and Policy Analyst 3 position is described as:
Assisting department managers in the development and implementation of self-sufficiency programs and operations. This position is responsible for administering, coordinating, developing and providing a variety of social services for children, adults and families to ensure the physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. This position develops program plans, policies, procedures and policy-related materials that will contribute to client and family self-sufficiency, meet federal and state requirements, legislative intent, department principles, and budget limits; monitors performance, evaluates findings and prepares comprehensive reports and recommendations for Executive Staff; serves as a resource for coaching and training of field staff to ensure the department’s mission, goals and values are met; completes legislative analysis and project management. This position involves significant collaboration with other agencies and provides technical assistance and recommendations to partner agencies.
DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT
August, 2009 through July, 2010
