This employment opportunity is with the Public Health Division, which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS). There is one full time position located in the Office of Family Health located in PORTLAND. A union represents this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and one year experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.
OR
Four years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.
AND
College-level course work in advanced statistics or quantitative analysis such as multiple regression, factor analysis, analyses of variance and discriminate analysis.
A copy of your transcripts only if you are using the degree to qualify. You must clearly mark the six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures in order to receive credit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this position is to provide assessment, data collection, analysis and program evaluation support to Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs, including, but not limited to the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI), Child Care Health Consultation (CCHC), Babies First!, Oregon Mothers Care (OMC) and Maternity Case Management (MCM). This position is a part of a team of Research Analysts providing services to MCH programs, by working closely with program and information services staff.
Major duties include:
- Designs program evaluation plans, implements evaluations, analyzes data and generates reports of evaluation results.
- Compiles and analyzes data from multiple sources, including both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Prepares statistical reports and data files for public use, as needed.
- Provides consultation to the MCH program staff in the areas of evaluation, data collection, analysis and interpretation in all aspects of their programs.
- Oversees data entry for MCH programs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires infrequent in-state travel to attend meetings or to provide presentations. Rare out-of-state travel may be necessary.
