PHYSICIAN SPECIALIST
$9,982 - $14,007 MONTHLY


These positions are with Health Services, Blue Mountain Recovery Center, which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS).   
 
This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates.  The list will be used to fill vacancies as they occur.  All applicants will be subject to a fingerprint-based criminal check through the Oregon State Police.  Those selected for employment will be subject to a pre-employment drug screening.
 
*Plus $10,000 per year in psychiatry differential; 7.5% differential for board certification (or 10% for 2 certifications); and pay for 1 hour out of every 3 while serving on-call.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
A license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon (or have the ability to obtain such licensure);
 
Experience in Psychiatry is preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Major duties include:
 
Provides direct medical and/or psychiatric services to patients committed to a State facility.
 
Compiles and maintains appropriate patient records, including histories, physicals, progress notes and release summaries of hospitalization.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
 
Some work beyond regular work hours and possible need to use paging/on-call system.
 
Normal office environment with occasion in-state travel, some overnight stays and occasional out-of-state travel. 
 
You must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.   If not, you must be able to provide an alternate method of transportation.
