This employment opportunity is with the Office of the Director/Oregon State Hospital Replacement Project, which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS). There is one full-time, limited duration opening located in Salem. This position is currently funded through June 30, 2011 with possible future funding pending legislative approval each biennium through the completion of the project in 2015. This position includes family health benefits and leave accrual. This position is represented by a union.

QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of clerical/secretarial experience which included two years at a full performance level performing typing, word processing, or other generation of documents AND lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology may be substituted for up to one year of the clerical/secretarial experience.
No substitution will be made for the two years at the full performance level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative support to the Oregon State Hospital Replacement Project (OSHRP) Team. Develop procedures, systems, and forms necessary for the position and other team members and partners to complete work, and ensure efficient flow of information. Coordinate diverse activities to ensure completion of projects and assignments; coordinate and respond to the flow of documents and/or requests; coordinate the completion of technical manuals, directives, and procedures; explain laws, rules, procedures, and processes for obtaining documents; collect, organize and report data for narrative or statistical reports and serves as a point of contact for other government agencies, contractors, department staff and the general public. Maintain the Project Website and coordinate with various contractor websites.
The support functions will include coordination of working documents, scheduling events, filing of correspondence, communication with staff, constituents, and other state agencies. Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record, or be able to provide an acceptable alternate method of transportation and must be able to maintain this as a condition of employment.
Normal office working conditions, meeting urgent and ever-changing deadlines, handling multiple projects at the same time, and working on various computer programs. Maintaining project confidentiality is mandatory. Duties require occasional travel, particularly on an as needed basis between the Salem and Junction City site locations and the downtown Salem DHS office.
