(Grants Coordinator)

$3,727 - $5,442 MONTHLY


This employment opportunity is with the Public Health Division (PHD), which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS).  There is full time opening within the Office of Disease Prevention and Epidemiology (ODPE) HIV/HST Client Services Program, located in PORTLAND.  A union represents this position.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to Human Services/Public Health; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program related to human services/public health.
 
OR
 
Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience coordinating or administering a program related to human services/public health.

1. Experience writing grant components, collecting required data elements, facilitating staff tasks and meeting grant submission requirements.  
 
2. Experience working within programs receiving funding administered by federal agencies such as HUD, HRSA, SAMHSA and/or other federal funding sources.  Describe your experience with these programs and the work activities directed by grant requirements of these federal administrative agencies.
 
3. Experience collecting, analyzing and manipulating data, including experience using reporting databases to fulfill program requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
This position coordinates, prepares and submits annual entitlement and competitive grants applications, project amendments, and related reports.
 
MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE:
 
Coordinate the activities of grant reports development by interpreting and understanding notice of grant award requirements and other applicable reporting guidance.
 
Coordinate and facilitate the collection of information required for reporting purposes. Assure staff has all applicable information to successfully provide information needed for report.
 
Understand program data systems to effectively identify and compile data required for reporting and grant purposes.
 
Compile appropriate data, writing components and other information to assure full application is presented in a cohesive manner, which meets all grant requirements for submission. Document and file decisions, information or backup that resulted in major components of a grant application.
 
Successfully compile grant applications and required reports into grants submission software as required.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
 
Occasional traveling, evening and weekend work.  You must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.  If not, you must be able to provide an alternate method of transportation.
