This employment opportunity is with Public Health Division (PHD), which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS). There is one full-time opening within the Office of Disease Prevention and Epidemiology (ODPE)/HST/HIV Client Services Program in Portland. This position is represented by a union.
This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of clerical/secretarial experience which included:
two years at a full performance level performing typing, word processing, or other generation of documents and lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology may be substituted for up to one year of the clerical/secretarial experience.
No substitution will be made for the two years at the full performance level.

- Experience in customer service, including the length of time for each employer, whether you had contact with customers in person or by phone, the specific types of information or services you provided, and if you screened callers/applicants for services and referral.
- Experience with database data entry, including percentage of your time devoted to this task. Please describe the type of data entered, speed and accuracy level.
- Experience organizing and completing multiple projects or tasks simultaneously. Include a brief description of the tasks or projects and indicate the scope and length of the tasks or projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position performs administrative functions within the HIV Care and Treatment Program which supports program goals and objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE:
Provides support to the HIV Care and Treatment program acting as the reception desk staff.
This position provides administrative support to the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS/HIV housing program (OHOP, a HUD/HOPWA program) and the CAREAssist program (Oregon’s Ryan White AIDS Drug Assistance Programs).
Perform specific administrative task/assignments in program areas as directed by program management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasional traveling evenings and weekends to perform program business. You must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. If not, you must be able to provide an alternate method of transportation.
