LIMITED DURATION/ 2 POSITIONS
 
These employment opportunities are with Public Health Division (PHD), which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS).  There are two limited duration openings (10 months from the date of hire) within the Immunization Program Section located in PORTLAND.   A union represents this position. 
 
Benefits for these positions include a family health plan and leave accrual.

Please be aware that due to the economic downturn and subsequent state budget short-fall the Governor has ordered mandatory furloughs for employees. This position will be required to take furloughs in the biennium 2009-2011.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or a degree related to Human Services/Public Health program; and two years experience coordinating and administering to a human service/public health program;
OR;
 
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience coordinating and administering a human services/public health program.

  • Experience utilizing standard database tools such as SQL or Access to data sort, manipulate, clean, extract, and verify information.
  • Experience working with users and /or technical staff to facilitate bidirectional date exchange and to maintain optimal data quality and multipurpose data from data systems.
  • Experience coordinating with diverse internal and external partners to complete both large and small projects.
  • Experience providing technical and narrative information in written and oral form to customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The person in this position will provide training and knowledge transfer for the newly hired Sentinel Technician, while also backing up operational duties of said person.
 
MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE:
 
Provide support and technical assistance to immunization program partners regarding data submission to the statewide ALERT registry.
 
Provide assistance in coordinating data cleaning and operational procedural tasks for the ALERT registry.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
 
Typical office environment.  Travel to meetings with vendors and or clinics regarding electronic transfer. You must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.  If not, you must be able to provide an alternate method of transportation.
