This employment opportunity is with Children, Adults and Families, which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS).   There is one full time position located at the Tillamook office.  This position is represented by a union. 
 
This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancies and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
 
Please be aware that due to the economic downturn and subsequent state budget short-fall the Governor has ordered mandatory furloughs for employees. This position will be required to take furloughs in the biennium 2009-2011.
 
LOCATION
 
Tillamook, Oregon is located on the Northern Oregon Coast tucked between the Coastal Range Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The City of Tillamook is the gateway to the area where some of the most beautiful beaches on the Oregon Coast are located. Tillamook is also home to World Class Chinook Salmon fishing with three major bays and seven major rivers. The bays are outstanding for crabbing and clamming and provide access to ocean fishing.

QUALIFICATIONS 
 
Two years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing or word processing or other experience generating documents; OR 
 
An Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR
 
Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience.
 
College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
This position performs a wide variety of clerical related tasks in support of DHS programs.
 
 WORKING CONDITIONS
 
Occasional travel.  You must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.   If not, you must be able to provide an alternate method of transportation.
