INTRODUCTION
The Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS)/ Administrative Services/ Office of Information Services (OIS)/CAF-Child Welfare is seeking exceptional candidates to be considered for the Project Coordinator/PEM C located in Salem. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing project tasks and day-to day activities in the Project Office. This position is limited duration will be for 24 months from date of hire.
This position is management service and is not represented by a union.

SCOPE OF THE POSITION
The Project Coordinator provides project management, project coordination, business and systems analysis and planning for an array of application development, strategic planning and IT governance initiatives within the OIS Children, Adults and Families section. Projects will include new design and development related to the OR-Kids project as well as major enhancements, upgrades or maintenance efforts for legacy applications.
Specific functions include managing the portfolio of OIS CAF projects, executive level communications, plan administration and publishing, resource planning, budget and accounting, contract oversight and logistics.
- Coordinate short and long-range planning of the project portfolio and processes related to governance and resources.
- Assure effective and efficient utilization of child welfare staff to meet project and operation needs; recommend personnel actions to ensure adequate and competent staffing.
- Prepare status reports and information for CAF CW Program partners, DHS Leadership and others.
- Overall responsibility for project plan coordination and documentation.
- Lead project planning efforts related to operations such as communication plan, risk management plan, issue management plan, document management plan, fiscal management plan, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
To receive credit, your application materials must clearly show that you meet the minimum qualifications for this position, listed below.
Five years of experience in supervision, staff-technical or professional-level work related to information systems.
This experience must have included at least one year of supervision and management of a program section, or unit related to information systems which included: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans, c) program evaluation, and d) budget preparation/management.
Bachelor's degree or courses in a field related to management such as Business or Public Administration, or a field directly related to information systems may be substituted for up to three years of the required experience but will not substitute for the one year of information systems experience.
