Federal SAPT Block Grant
The SAPT Block Grant is a grant award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in which the amount going to each state is determined through the use of a formula with population being a major consideration.
The block grant provides funding for treatment services for individuals with alcohol and other drug addictions who do not have the ability to pay for such services. The SAPT block grant funding supports treatment and prevention services for many Oregonians that would not otherwise be able to receive services.
