When: Wednesday, June 25, at 2:30 p.m.. Where: Commission members will meet by phone. Interested persons may listen to the conversation in conference room 366 of the Human Services Building, 500 Summer St., N.E., Salem. (You will need a driver license or other photo ID to go to the building's third floor.) Agenda: Commission members are scheduled to discuss the recently announced contract with the Service Employees International Union covering home-care workers. They are expected to talk about how to advocate for financing the estimated $25 million cost of the agreement without prompting further state service reductions. The nine-member Home Care Commission, authorized by voters in November 2000, is charged with improving care to Oregon seniors and people with disabilities. |
