Note: The number of Oregon's confirmed cases reported on the CDC's website might differ from numbers posted here. If there is a discrepancy, data from our website should be considered as being the most accurate and up to date.

Current Summary (September 1, 2009 - June 4, 2010)

The numbers in this table represent hospitalizations and deaths from all types of influenza since September 1, 2009. Almost all of the influenza viruses identified since then are pandemic H1N1 influenza.

These numbers are current as of 9:00 AM Friday, June 4, 2010.  Numbers are provisional and may fluctuate due to reporting delays and case misclassifications.

Reporting Basics

In Oregon, all influenza-related hospitalizations and deaths are reportable as of September 1, 2009.

Q: Why does this table include all types of influenza (seasonal and pandemic H1N1)?

A: What we report here is the same information we provide to CDC. CDC is also reporting on all types of influenza. Almost all the influenza viruses identified so far this season are pandemic H1N1 influenza.
