  • Oregon Asthma Resource Bank: A web-based resource bank that contains free, easy to read, clinically accurate asthma education handouts, provider tools, and school tools ready to print in color or black and white. The materials are based on the National Asthma Education & Prevention Program's Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma and the Guide to Improving Asthma Care in Oregon.
  • Oregon Asthma Network's School Asthma Resource Center: The School Asthma Resource Center was developed by the Schools and Asthma Workgroup. The Resource Center is designed to be a central website where schools can find information on programs, tools, and resources to assist with improving systems that support students and staff who have asthma.

  • Guide to Improving Asthma Care in Oregon: One of the major objectives of the Oregon Asthma Program is to develop Oregon-specific, population-based asthma guidelines based on the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute's Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma.

  • Oregon Asthma Resource Bank: A web-based resource bank that contains free, easy to read, clinically accurate asthma education handouts, provider tools, and school tools ready to print in color or black and white. The materials are based on the National Asthma Education & Prevention Program's Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma and the Guide to Improving Asthma Care in Oregon.
  • Chronic Disease Data Clearinghouse: The goal of the Chronic Disease Data Clearinghouse pilot project is to test the concept of using integrated health plan data about patients with diabetes and asthma in order to promote high quality, systematic care.
  • Asthma-Tobacco Integration Project: A Call to Action: the Asthma-Tobacco Integration Project. Strong evidence suggests that tobacco smoke is detrimental to the health of people with asthma, but Oregonians who have asthma smoke more than those who do not have asthma.
  • CD Summary Issues: The CD Summary is a publication of the Oregon Department of Human Services, Health Services, Office of Disease Prevention and Epidemiology. 
  • A View of Asthma in Oregon: The View of Asthma in Oregon is a periodical newsletter published by the Oregon Asthma Program. Each issue looks in depth at different aspects of asthma and asthma management.
  • Flu Vaccines and Asthma: Kids | Adults
Health Promotion Programs

Healthy Worksites: The DHS public health chronic disease prevention programs are partnering with several public and private employers to promote and support health worksites throughout the state of Oregon.

Living Well: Living Well with Chronic Conditions (the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program) is a six-week workshop that provides tools for living a healthy life with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, arthritis, asthma and heart disease. Through weekly sessions, the workshop provides support for continuing normal daily activities and dealing with the emotions that chronic conditions may bring about.
