- NCAST
NCAST is a part of the University of Washington. This program disseminates and develops innovative research-based products and training programs, which can be used with typically developing children, those at risk for developmental delays, and those diagnosed with special health needs. NCAST seeks to give professionals, parents, and other caregivers the knowledge and skills to provide nurturing environments for young children.
- Stepping Up: Prevention Strategies for Pregnancy, Parenting and Infancy
The University of Washington School of Nursing, in cooperation with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, created Stepping Up: Prevention Strategies for Pregnancy, Parenting and Infancy website. It contains maternal-child health information about prenatal care, health education, unstable family situations, and newborn care. The Stepping Up team has also created best practice suggestions for health care providers and state agencies in their work with clients, including effective intervention strategies.
