Circuit Rider Technical Services
Through the Oregon Safe Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund (SDWRLF), contracts have been established with drinking water circuit riders to provide on-site technical services for community water systems serving populations under 10,000. For these community water systems, services are free.
These services are designed to address short term operational problems, and are limited to 10 hours per issue (unless otherwise approved by DWP management staff).
Types of services and assistance include (but are not limited to):
Filter performance and maintenance
Backwash procedures
Chemical dosage adjustments and jar testing
Standard operating procedures and guidelines
Plant start-up and shut down procedures
Monitoring equipment calibration
Flocculation and sedimentation process evaluation
Pipe and pump repair
Leak detection
Well head disinfection
Assistance with SDWRLF funding applications
