Groundwater Rule Information


This rule applies to all public water systems that use groundwater sources or purchase groundwater, and takes effect December 1, 2009. The primary purpose of the rule is to protect public health from bacterial and viral pathogens in public groundwater systems. E.coli will be used as the indicator of fecal contamination.
