Local Resources and Partners 

Oregon Lead Poisoning Prevention Program operates within the Oregon Department of Human Services and is jointly funded by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Their mission is to eliminate lead poisoning in Oregon and they work towards goal through education, outreach, research and policy efforts with contractors, health care providers, homeowners and local health departments. Their website contains a wealth of information about these topics.

The Community Energy Project holds free classes for homeowners to learn about how to make their homes lead safe. 

Multnomah County Lead Program and Lead Line provides information and resources to Multnomah County residents about lead poisoning and prevention.  

Growing Gardens provides free lead soil tests to qualifying homeowners. 

Oregon Center for Environmental Health is dedicated to protecting public health and the environment through community action to eliminate toxic pollutants.      

Oregon Environmental Council estimated the cost of lost lifetime earning due to lead poisoning in Oregon. 

Josiah Hill Clinic gives free blood lead testing.
