General Microbiology Tests
The General Microbiology Section performs the tests listed below. Each listing includes information on how to submit specimens.
- Enteric Bacteriology
- Bacillus cereus (food-borne [FBD] outbreaks only)
- Campylobacter
- Botulism (Clostridium botulinum)
- Clostridium perfringens (FBD outbreaks only)
- E. coli O157
- Salmonella
- Shigella
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Vibrio
- Yersinia
Confer with the local health department or the Public Health Division's Acute and Communicable Disease Program 971-673-0994 about suspected cases of food-borne disease.
