General Microbiology Tests

The General Microbiology Section performs the tests listed below. Each listing includes information on how to submit specimens.
  • Enteric Bacteriology
    Bacillus cereus (food-borne [FBD] outbreaks only)
    Campylobacter
    Botulism (Clostridium botulinum)
    Clostridium perfringens (FBD outbreaks only)
    E. coli O157
    Salmonella
    Shigella
    Staphylococcus aureus
    Vibrio
    Yersinia

Confer with the local health department or the Public Health Division's Acute and Communicable Disease Program 971-673-0994 about suspected cases of food-borne disease.
