Immunization Law for Schools/Children's Facilities
Oregon School Immunization
Shots are required by law for children in attendance at public and private schools, preschools, childcare facilities, and Head Start programs in Oregon. Nearly every place that provides care for a child outside the home requires shots or a religious or medical exemption to stay enrolled.

Hib Suspension Lifted
 
The Haemophilus influenzae (Hib) vaccine shortage is over.  Hib vaccine is again required for children younger than 5 years of age in children's facilities, including preschools, child care and Head Start Programs.

New School and Childcare Requirements for 2010-2011
  • Tdap - One dose for 7th, 8th and 9th grade
  • Hepatitis A - Two doses for preschool, childcare facilities, kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade
