Oregon Public Health Connection is a monthly e-bulletin produced jointly by the Oregon Public Health Division, DHS, and the Oregon Conference of Local Health Officials (CLHO).

(Vol. 4, No. 11 focuses on the 65th Oregon Public Health Association conference including a summary of the event, conference keynote on the "State of Public Health in Oregon 2009," county perspectives from Wasco, Sherman and Gilliam counties and a feature on teen and youth presentations.  Hot Topics include the Oregon Rural Health Conference, Oregon WIC's blended learning, and a spotlight feature on a triennial reviewer. Also included -- the latest Oregon Public Health Division links, calendar and local public health news.)
 
October 2009: Special Edition -- Community Response to H1N1 Influenza 
(Vol. 4, No. 10 is a special edition focusing on highlighting community response from various parts of the state to H1N1 influenza.  Included in this issue: an update on the  flu vaccine and county perspectives from Douglas, Marion, Baker and Multnomah counties. Hot Topics include upcoming screenings of the "Unnatural Causes" documentary. Also included -- the latest Oregon Public Health Division links, calendar and local public health news.)
 
September 2009: Special Edition -- Public Health Education in Oregon 
(Vol. 4, No. 9 is a special edition focusing on highlighting public health education and activities. Included in this issue: statewide H1N1 education information, a section featuring some of OPHA's health educators, a new fire awareness curriculum, a "net generation" learning preferences study, a work safe video contest, a special article focusing on school and community youth partnerships, PHIN recognition, PH @ OMSI update, and a health literacy update. The county perspective comes from Hood River County. Also included -- the latest Oregon Public Health Division links, calendar and local public health news.)
 
August 2009: Special Edition -- 2009 Legislative Session Summary

(Vol. 4, No. 5 is a special edition focusing on data -- highlighting some of the various data-related efforts, collection and analysis being conducted that impact and benefit the public's health. Featured items include: Oregon Immunization Rates, PH Training Assessment, Oregon breastfeeding data, and a hazard vulnerability assessement data tool. County Best Practices focus on Vista PHw and how it can help counties. Hot topics include H1N1 Influenza and arthritis.
