Infrastructure and Capacity Building

The Oral Section works to develop and improve infrastructure to increase access to quality oral health information in Oregon by:

  • Creating systems and leadership capacity to incorporate oral health into overall health prevention strategies;

  • Developing a state plan for oral health to serve as a "road map" of evidence-based strategies for stakeholders at the community, county, and state level;

  • Establishing statewide and regional oral health coalitions to advocate for those in greatest need; and

  • Establishing the Oral Health Advisory Board to provide guidance, input, and feedback on policy issues related to oral health.
